| The 2006 Buddy Walk was held on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at Reunion Ranch
in Georgetown and it was a tremendous success! 2006 broke all previous records for attendance and fundraising with more than
1,900 people and more than $74,000 raised. We raised a remarkable amount of awareness for the Down syndrome community in Central Texas.
DSACT will donate a percentage of the funds to The National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) which supports education, research, and advocacy initiatives. The remaining will stay in Austin with our local
association to support programs and services for DSACT members.
